PRISM Mapping System - 1st Release Goes Live

The PRISM mapping system, which presents marine forecasts for the Irish Sea to the public, has gone live for a review and feedback phase. The system is available to all users via www.prism.ie.

Development of the mapping interface to the marine models of project partners National University of Ireland, Galway, and University of Wales, Bangor, was completed by Compass Informatics (www.compass.ie). The system is hosted by the Department of Communications, Marine and Natural Resources. By hosting with the Department, itself a project partner, on-going support of the system post-project is assured.

Enhancements to the system are on-going and will attempt to reflect user feedback.

PRISM Steering Group Meeting

The next PRISM Steering Group Meeting is on the 5^th of April, to be held at the University of Wales (Menai Straits location).
